Big Jim Captain Flint / Sandokan 2263 – Karl May Trapper 9410

Captain Flint / Sandokan ref. 2263 is part of the Big Jim pirate series released in 1978. The character is known as Captain Flint in English-speaking and German markets, and also as Sandokan, particularly on the Italian market.

The Karl May Trapper outfit ref. 9410 was also released in 1978.

Vintage figure and outfit in excellent overall condition. The figure has been given a reversible restoration of the hand system.

Mint condition!

As the original hand component was missing, a hand from another Big Jim figure has been adapted to restore the appearance and wrist articulation.

A small custom-made retaining piece blocks the moving part of the mechanism (“breech”) to prevent it from being ejected and to keep the hand securely in place.

The modification is fully reversible and non-permanent: no glue or permanent modification has been used. The system and the method for removing the restoration are shown in detail in the photos.

Outfit and accessories:

Mint overall condition!

  • The original suede belt, including the small pouches and dagger sheath, is missing. It has been replaced by a handmade fabric belt, fitted with an original Big Jim imitation-leather sheath.
  • Belt: handmade fabric replacement.
  • Sheath: original Big Jim accessory.
  • Dagger: present, Mint condition!
  • Moccasins: Mint condition! One is nevertheless lighter in color than the other.
  • Rest of the outfit and accessories: Mint condition!

The photos also clearly show the arm modification and how it can be removed.
